I recently picked up an LP entitled Georgia Blues Today, which was put out by the UK label Flyright in 1981. The album features field recordings made by George Mitchell in the late 1970s and boy-howdy are they wonderful. Right now, I am particularly fond of the songs by John Lee Ziegler. Each song is trance inducing. Ziegler plays left handed with the bass strings at the bottom of the guitar, giving him a unique strumming pattern and is usually accompanied by Rufus Jones on spoons. Overall, the album is defiantly worth checking out because it offers a variety of blues songs and styles. You can also find most of the songs on the George Mitchell collection released by Fat Possum in 2008.
